After a full evening of playing grass volleyball in the fresh air with 35+ people to socialize with it’s always nice to wind down with something yummy in the tummy

It’s been a cold summer, which is pretty annoying, so congee was a great idea!  We headed over to Congee Noodle House to warm up our stomaches with some delicious comfy goodness.  As a child I never liked congee (or 죽, in Korean).  Bland, goopy and just kind of blah..but now it’s definitely one of my comfort food faves and with all these amazing combinations CNH is like a congee mall!

Phil and I came to the brilliant decision to order a side of Chinese Donuts along with our orders of congee.  Love it!!  Hot, crispy, and just delicious!  Perfect with congee 😀

I am a huge lover of BBQ Duck, so of course I had to order the BBQ Duck Congee! The congee was a good consistency with the rice having cooked down in the broth to a nice soupy consistency without being way too watery.  There was an ample amount of duck and the fried peanuts and scallion lent a nice flavor and texture compliment.

All in all another fun and delicious evening with friends!!
